Satire Black

One of Simple’s most sought after women’s styles, the Satire is stylish yet understated. This canvas sneaker features elastic in place of laces so it's even more like a slip-on and is the ideal companion to that perfect pair of jeans. With a lightly padded topline, canvas lining and Memory Foam insole, the Satire’s sleek silhouette is matched only by its comfort.

They're easy to slip on, comfortable, and look cute with so many different outfits. They're a great casual shoe to have for every-day wear.

YAHOO! Simple shoes are back! I now have happy feet! I purchased a pair of Simple tennis shoes a few yrs ago and was so disappointed when I could not find them again. I was excited when I saw they were back and still fit the same as before. I have purchased 2 pairs in the last 2 months. The fit is very true to size!

  4. Cute and comfy 4 Star Review

I really like the shoe. It's fits well and is really comfy. I've had many Simple shoes in the past and have loved every pair. There was virtually no breaking in of this shoe. I got the black ones, and the only bad thing, is it seems the back from the fabric somehow bled into the white rubber part. So now the white has a purple/pinkish hue. I can live w/ it, but a crisp white would have been nice. Not worth sending them back.

  6. Finally back!! 4 Star Review

So happy to see Simple back in business! I've been waiting a long time to get another pair. They are a bit tight but hope to have them loosen up after a few wears.

  7. So comfortable! 5 Star Review

I actually did not read the description properly and so I did not realize these were slip ons. They are super comfortable and really cute! No one can tell they are slop ons which is awesome! I want a pair in every color.

  8. The best shoes 5 Star Review

I have a really hard time with this style of shoes usually. These are great. They don't pinch my toes and are really comfy. I love them and will definitely buy more.

  9. Pretty Close 4 Star Review

Posted by on Mar 22nd 2016

This is really close to the original Satire. Aesthetically, it is close enough. A little tight at first, but just needed a couple wearings. The elastic is attached awkwardly - the originals had the ends hidden between the tongue and the upper, these have the ends sticking out inside. It would be nice if there was a grippier tread. These are sneakers after all. I live in a wet place, and I like to walk down the sidewalk and not worry about slipping all the time.
I'd be interested in seeing these in a supple leather version. I've worn out several pairs of the original in canvas and denim, and would like a pair with a bit more staying power.

  10. Similar but not the same.. 3 Star Review

Posted by on Mar 16th 2016

I don't know if there is an intellectual property issue, but I wish that these Satire shoes were just the same as they used to be. Mine have a cork insole (although not described that way when I bought them) and the design of the toe is different - I don't know if it is both design and toe box or just visual design. They fit well -- really great. How many shoes can you put on new and walk all over New York City in them and not get a rub or a blister? On the other hand, the new sole is not as great for walking on City sidewalks and running up and down the stairs to the subway. I can definitely feel it... so, similar but different.
